GRI Module 101 - Professional Standards and The Law:
The Professional Standards module will guide you through the Code of Ethics, and the expectations & requirements of the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC). The Law portion will expand on the real estate law learned in the basic sales associate’s Course to help participants identify and understand legal issues that arise. Fair Housing & Diversity laws will also be covered.

Chuck Bonamer is the president of TRANS-EQUITY, Inc., Realtors®. He was awarded the Instructor of the Year Award for At Home With Diversity by the National Association of REALTORS® for 2016.

He served as 2016 Chair of the Florida Realtors® Faculty and Program Development Subcommittee. Chuck, past-president of the Florida Real Estate Educators Association, chaired the Professional Standards Committee, Grievance Committee and the Professional Development Committee of the Venice Area Board of Realtors™.

Certified by NAR for both course writing and presentation skills. His articles appear in Communique, Real Estate Today, Issues and Trends, Real Estate Business, Florida REALTOR® and others.

A. Registrations are not transferable, but may be refunded per this policy. All requests must be submitted in writing.

B. Registration fees for single classes or seminars of one day or less in length will be refunded in full if the request is received prior to the start time on the business day preceding the class or seminar, excluding weekends and holidays. For example, if a course is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on a Monday, the request must be received by 9:00 a.m. on the preceding Friday. If scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, the request must be received by 1:30 p.m. on a Tuesday.

C. Courses that offer a designation or certification, whether single day or multiple days, will be refunded less a $25 administration fee. The written request for refund must be received three business days, excluding weekends and holidays, prior to the course start date. For example, if a course is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. on a Monday, the cancellation and request for refund must be received no later than the preceding Wednesday. 

D. If a course is postponed, cancelled, or rescheduled, registrants may choose to receive a full refund or apply the credit toward another course within the same calendar year.
