Come and learn the in's and out's of the latest Tax and Visa issues our community is facing within the Real Estate sector and their real-life implications. Whether your foreign clientele consists of investors or entrepreneurs, having a broader understanding of the challenges our industry faces can increase one's marketability and help drive any client through a successful real estate transaction. 

Renea M. Glendinning, CPA, will be discussing the U.S. income tax reporting requirements and differences between nonresidents and residents of the U.S. She will also discuss how the different types of immigration visas can affect an individuals U.S. tax residency status. In addition, she will discuss how the immigration laws, presented by Mr. Jaensch, and tax laws coordinate and conflict with each other.

Renea Glendinning
Renea M. Glendinning, CPA joined Kerkering, Barberio & Co. in 1987 and became a shareholder and has led their International Tax Department since 1997. Ms. Glendinning received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Accountancy degrees from the College of Business Administration of the University of South Florida and has been a certified public accountant since 1984. She has authored articles regarding various international tax issues and frequently gives presentations on U.S. income and estate taxation of foreign nationals doing business in the U.S. She has been a member of the FICPA International Tax Committee since 1997.

P. Christopher Jaensch

Attorney P. Christopher Jaensch received a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1992 and a Juris Doctor degree in 1995 from the University of Florida.  While at UF, he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Phi Beta Kappa Society and Florida Blue Key, the oldest and most prestigious leadership honorary in the state of Florida.

Mr. Jaensch is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Sarasota Bar Association.  He has served as President of the Sarasota-Manatee International Trade Club and Regional Vice Chair, Tampa Bay, in the Central Florida Chapter of AILA.  

Mr. Jaensch is Managing Partner of Jaensch Immigration Law Firm, which is celebrating its 35 year anniversary in 2018.  Mr. Jaensch has over 22 years of experience in the field of immigration and nationality law and currently focuses his practice on four primary categories (a) investors and entrepreneurs, (b) business executives, managers and professionals, (c) amateur and professional athletes and coaches and (d) performing artists and immigrants with extraordinary ability.  

A. Registrations are not transferable, but may be refunded per this policy. All requests must be submitted in writing.
B. Registration fees for single classes or seminars of one day or less in length will be refunded in full if the request is received prior to the start time on the business day preceding the class or seminar, excluding weekends and holidays. For example, if a course is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on a Monday, the request must be received by 9:00 a.m. on the preceding Friday. If scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, the request must be received by 1:30 p.m. on a Tuesday.
C. Courses that offer a designation or certification, whether single day or multiple days, will be refunded less a $25 administration fee. The written request for refund must be received three business days, excluding weekends and holidays, prior to the course start date. For example, if a course is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. on a Monday, the cancellation and request for refund must be received no later than the preceding Wednesday.
D. If a course is postponed, cancelled, or rescheduled, registrants may choose to receive a full refund or apply the credit toward another course within the same calendar year.
